The fire at Notre Dame Church in Paris was recorded in a news broadcast that lasted about 12 consecutive hours.

The ongoing news coverage repeatedly featured images of the church on fire, as well as photographs of firefighters, politicians and concerned passers-by.
The video installation “Il n'y a pas de fumée sans feu”   (from french-”No Smoke Without Fire") is a video collage consisting of news coverage of the fire. The recurring images in the live broadcast were edited, cut and rearranged in the shape of the rosette that adorne the church.
